Frankenstein
I went to see an Encore Screening of Frankenstein at the Richmond Curzon last night with Benedict Cumberbatch as the creature and Johnny Lee Miller as Victor…and wow. So glad I bought tickets, just wish I could have seen it live, it was amazing - Benedict definitely proved what a brilliant actor he is. I loved how Nick Dear and Danny Boyle made it focus upon the creature, as in many productions he loses the voice Mary Shelley gave him. When I read Frankenstein for English this year I definitely felt sympathy for the monster, something which Benedict was able to evoke very strongly. I just want to see it again now, would definitely have been interesting to see Johnny as the creature too, partly for the chance to see the Gingerbatch’s luscious curls ;)
Incredibly tempted to do a painting of the Creaturebatch now, so watch this space haha
